Toyota to invest $1.6B in California, Arizona, Texas and Utah in 2021
Toyota is adding 1,400 new jobs in the United States and will invest $3.3 billion in the auto industry over the next five years, the automaker announced on Tuesday.
Toyota said it will create jobs in California by adding about 1,800 new positions, 1,000 in Arizona, 1-2,000 jobs in Texas, 1.5-2.5 million in Utah, and 700 jobs in North Carolina, where it is building a plant.
In the next six months, the company will add an additional 1,700 new jobs across the United Kingdom and France, with plans to add another 1,600 jobs in 2019.
In 2019, Toyota will invest an additional $1 billion in North America, including hiring an additional 700 people.
Toyotas annual profits are expected to grow 7.2% to $2.15 billion in 2021, up from the $2 billion expected in 2021.
The company also expects to grow profits in 2020, while it will grow profits and profits by $500 million.
The automaker expects to generate $1,300 billion in sales in 2021 and a profit of $2,400 billion.
