When the car dies: Toyota recalls 2.5 million cars worldwide

The Toyota carmaker is recalling more than 2.4 million vehicles worldwide due to an ignition switch defect.

Toyota is recalling 2.1 million vehicles in the US, the US and Canada.

The problem is the ignition switch can catch fire when it detects a voltage drop or if the car is running low on fuel.

The problem could result in a fire and/or the death of the driver, according to the company.

Toyotas are the most common vehicle used in the world.
